JOANN SARAYDARIAN
Sculpted by the freedom and truth of her beautiful parents, Roman and Margaret Alesch, Joann was delivered into the uninhibited depth and creativity of a world without the boundaries of conventionality and limitation. Outside perspectives might view her childhood as wrought with hardship and struggle - being part of a very large family without money - but the truth is, she gained more love, knowledge and practical life insight than most adults had.

As a young child, she immersed herself in nature and exploration, getting to know the secrets of the earth while still driven by the curiosity and innocence of youth. At age five, on a picnic, Joann ventured fearlessly alongside a precarious cliff with rocks and small boulders hanging off the edge, ready to tumble to a tragic end. Her mother, naturally frightened, threw caution to her, but Joann’s father stopped the fear and doubt of his wife by saying, “No Margaret, she knows what she is doing and if she falls she will learn.” He knew....
